WILTS & BERKS CANAL TRUST

We are launching the Wilts & Berks Canal Supporters 200 Club for 2012. With your help we hope to sell a minimum of 200 tickets at £20.00 per annum to raise £2,000 (less admin) for the Trust and to pay out £2,000 in prize money in nine draws from March to December each year.

Tickets will be sold on an annual basis and application forms need to be received by Saturday 25th February 2012 for inclusion in this year's draw.

There will be nine monthly draws of £100, £50 and £25, and a bumper draw in December of £250, £100 and £50.

It is hoped that the money raised for the Trust will be awarded to Branches for specific projects. These could be materials or pieces of plant. Branches would need to submit a brief application for consideration.

Should there be more, or less, number of tickets sold prizes and money raised will be proportionally adjusted.

The Club will be run under the supervision of Wilts & Berks Fincom and accounts scrutinized by Fincom annually.

The success of this will depend on the generosity of members - however there are 30 cash prizes to be won each year. It would be an ideal Christmas present for that awkward to buy for Aunt, or why not hold a ticket on behalf of children or grandchildren.

Supporters 200 Club update as of 10th February 2012

Thanks to all of you who bought a ticket for 200 Club. Before the current edition of Dragonfly landed on your door mat we have sold just under 60. It was always anticipated that dragonfly would generate the most interest so we await the sack-fulls of mail. We have now sold 140 tickets.

Please do not be complacent, if you have not already bought a ticket, please do so NOW, if you have please try and sell one to a friend or family member. If we sell more than 200 it is not a problem both money to the trust and prize money will increase.

Another way to pay is by electronic transfer to Lloyds TSB Sort code 30-91-99 Acc no 41256368 but do let us know by email or post your personnel details so a ticket no can be assigned and we can post your winings.

In next month's On The Button we will advise total no of tickets sold and publish provisional prizes. 1ST draw will be held 13th march at MCC branch meeting.
