Nov 1913 Oxford Canal Co half-yearly meeting
The half yearly meeting of the Company proprietors of the Oxford Canal Navigation was held on Wednesday morning.

 

Mr. J.F. Parsons occupied the chair.
The report stated that the total receipts for the half year ending June, 1913 had amounted to £9,621 15s 9d this sum added to the unappropriated balance of the last half-year (£442 9s 3d) made a total of £10,064 5s, which enabled the Committee to declare a dividend for the half-year, payable Sept. 1st last of £2 2s 6d per share, free of income tax, to place £250 to the dredging account, and £100 to the contingency fund, carrying forward a balance of £477 8s 9d.

 

The Chairman proposed the adoption of the report.Dr. J.C. R. Freeborn seconded, and the proposition was carried unopposed. The auditors, Messrs Kemp, Sons, Sewell, and Co, were unanimously re-appointed for the ensuing year at a fee of £50.
This concluded the business.
