As reported in Dragon-fly No 4 "The Swindon Evening Advertiser ran a whole page article on the canal and our work in its Weekend supplement on July 15th 1978. It gave the reader a good idea of our aims and focussed on our work at Kingshill. Three old photos of the canal were included, plus one of four 'navvies' at work at the skew bridge at our first working party in May. The item has created much interest in Swindon, let's hope it produces more members and navvies!"
