These three pictures are all from the Moulden Hill area of Swindon.
Moulden Lock has already been subject to some work by the Branch. The brickwork has been restored but we have yet to attach the lock gates.
Restoration at Moulden Hill has been going on for some years now and about a mile of the canal is back in water.
We also have a lottery bid in for £15 million with our Trust Partners to carry the canal / railway/ cycle track/ and path way, all the way from Swindon to Cricklade.
Access to the Cotswold Country Way website will be here shortly.
Below is the new bridge which carries the road to the new shopping centre at Abbey Meads.

The new road bridge (shown above) was built at a cost of almost ¾ of a Million pounds and will allow us to take the canal back into Swindon. As you can see from the artists impression, some further work will be required to finalise the level of the canal as opposed to the cycle path.
