The Waterway Recovery Group is a voluntary organisation, helping to restore derelict canals in Britain. We run weekend working parties and week-long work camps every year
British Waterways is the organisation responsible for managing and maintaining 2000 miles of existing canal networks.

The Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme:
Available for young people up to the age of 25 this scheme marks achievement and development. An increasing number of Gold awards are achieved for residential canal restoration work.
