• I joined the Navy on leaving school and trained as a Radio Electrical Artificer. After leaving the Navy I joined Decca Navigator Co and have been around boats for most of my life. In recent years I have worked with Computers and it was this skill which prompted me to offer my services as the Membership Secretary.
• I was born in Swindon within a short distance of the "dried up bed of the canal" and used to walk along the "towpath" on the way into town. I joined in 1990 when the Swindon branch was looking for Survey expertise whilst investigating the southern route. I am a part owner of a narrow boat based at Gailey on the Staffordshire and Worcestershire Canal
