Volunteer hours

In this time of doom and gloom it is good to know that the WBCT is continuing to move forward with the project to restore the canal. Many of you give up your time and make the effort of doing voluntary work in order to bring this dream to reality. One way in which you could help with fundraising is to submit a note of your hours. These hours are recorded in order to demonstrate to a wider audience just how much effort volunteers are making towards the restoration of the Canal and their support for this visionary project. All hours submitted are taken into consideration for ‘matched funding’ purposes and thus effectively provide a resource that the WBCT may hopefully convert to hard cash at a later date. These hours also help to support Ken Oliver’s position with Wiltshire Council. Ken is an invaluable asset to the Trust.

Please make a resolution to note your hours and activities and send them to me, preferably on a monthly basis. Hours may be submitted through your Branch or recorded for yourself as an individual but please make it clear on the entry sheet.

A blank log is available here.

Please send your completed log forms to log.sheets@wbct.org.uk. For blank log forms or help with submissions please contact Juanita Poulton (juanita.poulton@wbct.org.uk).

I look forward to hearing from many of you!
