29th January  Interested to see a section of towpath hedge through Harris Croft Farm has been laid. This is a public footpath through private land so this has not been done by the Trust, but must be done by or for the landowner. Let’s hope the newly-laid hedge will be host to a symphony of birdsong in the years to come. 4th January 2017
Kath Hatton and I walking from Templars Firs - suddenly out of the towpath hedge jumped a deer, right into the canal and out the offside. Two dogs down the field were chasing it. Jenny Stratton
