The Mary Archard is a "Wheelyboat" with a bow door that raises and lowers.

Mary Archard 1Mary Archard 2This configuration makes it very easy to get wheel chair and less able users aboard and makes our canal more accessible for all to enjoy.

Many members and supporters turned up on a lovely Saturday to wave her off on her first official trip on the Wilts & Berks along a section where bunds have recently been removed and a whole kilometre of waterway is now open for the first time in over 100 years.

Promotional ImageOn Saturday 27th January, with what can be described as a crisp, bright early Spring Day, 1000s of people descended on The Oval, London, to take part in the Ultra Challenge Winter Walk… with myself included.
