Melksham Food and River Festival

The Trust is once again attending the Melksham Food and River Festival, which this year is being held on the Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 September in King George V Park, Melksham.

Melksham, Calne & Chippenham Branch will host visitors in the display gazebo, located among the food and drink stalls in the Park, which will showcase the work of the Trust.

The Branch will also be running boat trips throughout the weekend. First trips will be at 10:00 a.m. with the final trips boarding at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, and 4:00 p.m. on Sunday. Trips will leave at 20 minute intervals, with some breaks in the schedule to allow other river activities to take place. Two boats will be running, including the wheelchair-friendly The Mary Archard.

For the second time, MCC Branch will be offering charter trips aboard The Mary Archard on the day before the full Festival opens - Friday 3 September. These trips will be longer than those being offered on the Saturday and Sunday and are predominately aimed at groups with mobility problems or other requirements that would be difficult to provide for on the Festival days and who want to take the trip together. To book a Charter Trip, please go to the Festival website.

Full details of the river activities (located in the "On the River" section) and the Festival in general can be found on the Festival website www.melkshamfoodandriverfestival.co.uk
