Peterborough Arms Re-opening
We're pleased to be announce that the Peterborough Arms, the canal side pub at Dauntsey Lock, will be re-opening on Saturday 4th July, in line with government COVID-19 guidelines. Here's a message taken from their Facebook page, detailing some of the changes and precautions to expect. Please note - at the time of writing, Saturday 4th is fully booked.
"Good news! From Saturday 4th July we intend to open our business after a long lay off. We have been issued with government guidelines to ensure you and our staff will be in a safe environment.
Things will look different, as part of the guidlines to comply with the governments track and trace scheme you must leave us your name and contact details. We also ask you to book a table in advance if you want to dine, as numbers in our dining area have been reduced with tables removed to give you space to move around safely. If you can pre order your choices this will help to avoid disappointment and help to get our stock levels correct.
Your table and chairs will be completely sanitised before your arrival and kept free of cutlery and condiments until you order. You will be shown to your table by a member of staff, who will take your drinks/food order from a metre plus distance. We will have anti bacterial gel stationed around the pub and one at the entrance for your use before sitting down.
The floor will be marked with tape to remind you to keep a social distance. The toilets will operate on a one in one out basis and regularly checked. The payment areas will be protected by sneeze screens and contactless payment is available, the card machine and area will be sanitised after every transaction.
All our staff have taken and passed a covid 19 infection and prevention training course. If you want to come for a drink only you will still have to leave your details and you will be allocated a table on your arrival. All the guidlines apply to outside areas and will be monitored for your safety.
Looking forward to seeing you soon. From all at the Peterborough Arms."
