Opening the Reed Hatch

What a difference a few weeds make! Chris was putting some finishing touches to Dragonfly's new paint & needed to turn the boat round. The engine needed running anyway, so he motored round in a few circles - deliberately, to break up the weeds that are growing there. Having turned & parked the boat the other way (it's amazing what you find you've missed once the sun is shining on the paint you're looking at!) he opened the weed hatch & pulled out this lot - no wonder the boat wasn't going that well! This is why canals need boats running up & down - otherwise they end up as a ditch full of reeds!
