Charity Walk for the trust

On Sunday morning 26th September a canalside walk to raise money for The Wilts & Berks Canal Trust took place, with just over 20 people taking part. The walk finished at the Dragonfly landing stage in Wichelstowe, where Hall & Woodhouse kindly provided free tea, coffee or squash to all participants.  Dragonfly also offered all finishers a short trip on the canal.  With a £5 entry fee plus some donations, payments being made at our Visitor Centre where refreshments were also provided, the event raised some £130 for the Trust. 

It is hoped to repeat the walk in the future, possibly on an annual basis.
