Quiz Apr17th

Branch chairman Dave Maloney said: “The quiz night has outgrown previous locations in Melksham and Derry Hill due to its increasing popularity.

“In the early years, it was mainly a social occasion for our volunteers but now attracts lots of interest from the wider community too.

“It’s a fun night for friends, families, neighbours or work colleagues to come together and put their minds to the test.

“There’s always plenty of friendly competition, and it’s all in aid of a very worthy cause!”

The general knowledge quiz will feature ten rounds, covering lots of different subjects, with tea, coffee and cake available. The licensed bar will also be open.

Displays will feature Canal Trust activities with a focus on the local restoration between Chippenham and Melksham.

Membership leaflets for potential new volunteers will also be available.

Teams must register by Friday 10 April. Email quiz@wbct.org.uk

The aim of the Wilts & Berks Canal Trust is to restore the waterway from the Kennet & Avon Canal near Melksham to the Thames & Severn Canal near Cricklade and the River Thames near Abingdon, connecting Calne, Royal Wootton Bassett and Swindon.
