Restoring 70 miles of canal and towpath for the benefit of local communities, wildlife and leisure
Come and join us.

On Saturday November 5th, a team of Trust volunteers started repointing the stone walls of the Peterborough Arms at Dauntsey.

The paint was removed from the outer walls some months ago which has alleviated the damp problems on both inner and outer walls. The pointing was loose and damaged so a lot of it was removed.  A stonemason showed the volunteers how to do this with lime mortar. More work is still to be done both outside and in, so offers of help would be greatly appreciated.
