On a fine Boxing Day morning, fifty people took the opportunity of a brief opening of the towpath at Studley Grange.

Studley Boxing Day Studley Boxing DayIt is still classified as a work site so it is not accessible by the public. Volunteers led groups of up to ten people walking to the end of the towpath and back. For some people,​ who had been unable​ to get to the AGM​, ​it was their first sight of the restored canal​, ​trying out the seats​ and looking at the interpretation boards, rubbing plates and leaning posts.
