Restoring 70 miles of canal and towpath for the benefit of local communities, wildlife and leisure
Come and join us.

A big work party took place over the weekend of 24th and 25th February with 11 of us doing a substantial coppicing and dead-hedging job near the wet section at Pewsham.

We planted hazel, spindle and elder trees, plus woodland plants in the space created by the coppicing, protected by the dedging.

Shout out to the usual green team crowd - Andy, Raine, Graham, Gansh and Martin – who were joined by Ian, Richard (first day volunteering) and evergreen Bob Howlett. We also had volunteers Kim, India and Henry from Good Energy Ltd, who provided a youthful balance to the crew.

Take a look at our YouTube short https://youtube.com/shorts/z0863DkLQrc?si=hlEEqJ4FRxuLJvpe of the day.
